Festool Power Adapter ACA

Can anyone tell me whether the “Festool Power Adapter ACA 18V to 240V Ergo” (note that I am in Australia, hence 240v) works with the Festool ETSC 2 18v 150mm Random Orbital Sander?

No & maybe Derek...

There are 2 small stops that are molded into the channel of the ACA Ergo Adapter that prevent its insertion into any standard sized battery operated tool. However if those stops were removed...

I wouldn't be surprised if besides the mechanical incompatibility they also have an electrical interlock as in the tool 'reads' the battery.

However if those stops were removed...

It still wouldn't lock into place.

Hmm... I've often wondered whether one could take the guts out of this and remount them in a standard 18v festool battery body. For use with the cordless track saw, table saw, extractor, etc ..
