Festool Rack Systainer?

Anyone know when/if this one will make it to NA?

Mavrick,

Not sure when they will be available from Festool, but Tanos has them in light gray and anthracite for $230 on their website.  I believe their website is mysystainer.com.  They have some other pretty cool options like a systainer for the Fein Multimaster.

Its interesting that when I went to the Festool USA website, there was a popup asking me to fill out a customer survey for a chance to win a rack systainer.  Would this suggest the introducton to the US will happen soon?

Mysystainer.com is The Japan Woodworker.  I have ordered quite a few Tanos items from them.  Great service.

There is no plan to bring the Rack Systainer on as a catalog item in the U.S.  It is only being offered as a promotional giveaway item.  Even more reason to try to win one  ;)  Speaking of winning one, for those of you who do not receive our email newsletter, SysNotes, there is an opportunity to win a Rack Systainer (or the parallel guide set) by sharing your TS plunge saw success story.  For more information, you can view this month's SysNotes online.

I like the concept of a lockable and stackable system, but has anyone gone to the Mysystainers.com website?  Unless I am reading it wrong these units are $US240.00 plus $US54.00 for each drawer!

That is $US402.00, I think I would rather save for more tools.

You are looking at their Strongbox, which is the equivalent of a systainer port.  The rack systainers are $230 each, still not cheap.

Whoops, my BAD.  I will be more careful next time!  They look very similar, and I could not find the Rack Systainer on the Tanos US Site.

Okay -- WHAT is a Festool Rack Systainer.  There certainly isn't much info on the www.mysystainer.com web site.  Is the outer case like (clips to) a regular systainer, or are the 4 drawer-box thingys like systainers?  Are the individual boxes removable?

(I need better storage, but I can't tell if this is it.)

they come with 4 boxes that are removable.  2 have 15 compartments and 2 have 17 compartments.  I believe that they are not adjustable, the internal compartments.  If you call the Japan woodworker they can help you.  1-800-537-7820  If you look at the Tanos catalog they are not listed...interesting.
