Festoolfootstool from over the pond was kind enough to send this kit over to me, I received it this morning right before i headed out the door to do a job, it couldn't have come at a better time!! This kit is awesome, it has every size that i would need 99% of the time and a lot of cleaver accessories. I love the little adapter to be able to use the ratchet for the Philips bits/hex bit etc. Working in tight cabinets and speakers right against the wall this helps tremendously as the profile is smaller then the smallest screw driver i have. The Centrotec screw driver is the best feeling driver i have ever held, it is incredible. I love how quick it is to change bits etc. I really cannot think for the life of me why festool wouldn't offer this kit over here in the states, it puts snap on to shame with the quality and ergonomics. With the exchange rate it is the most expensive ratchet kit i have ever purchased but today made it completely worth it. You wouldn't think you get get so excited over a ratchet but man is this awesome!

I just wanted to say thanks to him being kind enough to help me out with this, i know it was a huge favor!!  [big grin]

[smile] I cannot thank him enough, especially being able to do this while he was very busy. This forum is truely awesome and so is its members [big grin]

This is seriously the best non power tool purchase I have ever purchased, it got me out of a jam today! so glad the mailman dropped off the mail right before i left thismorning!

Glad to hear it all worked out. But isn't this kit metric? I thought that wasn't used so much in the USA?

It is, Doing AV systems most everything is metric  ??? i assume its because most of the equipment i use is designed across the pond and manufactured globally. Even TV & Projector mounts I use have metric bolts.

There is one listed on Ebay at this time for a buy it now price of 235.00
The sellers item description says there are six available

I am not positive but believe that this is from Wera as they sell several similar kits. Festool several times has sold items rebadged and recolored to their specifications.

I would think they are made by Wiha.
At least the screwdriver handle is from Wiha for sure they only fitted a Centrotec adapter in to it.
The ratchet also looks like the one from Wiha. But that can be made by others also.

My $57 Felo 0715732398 Smart Set appears to have most of the same components as the Festool ratchet set.  Add a Festool Centrotec screwdriver handle for $20 and a $25 mini systainer to complete it for about a $100.

Not bad!  I like the fact that it has a centrotec head on it, as I move over to festool drills and accessories its nice to be able to grab a screwdriver and pop on a head for what ever reason  [smile] besides, I like brand unity in my van  [big grin]
