Festool Reconditioned Tool Sale

I just got a TS75 EQ from Bob Marino and, what a gentleman and service.
I paid Taxes for the first time since I ordered from a NJ dealer,  but it was worth all the way.
My regular dealer is not participating and I wonder why?

Cheers
Luis

PS. I ordered recon up to now: TS75 EQ, C15 set, RS2, Trion PS300 all at 20% and still smell like new.

Shane, can you talk to HQ and convince them create a room fragance "FS New Tool";  [big grin]

For those on the fence about buying a reconditioned tool, the program will be ending on August 30th. So, you have about a month remaining before these tools will no longer be available.

Ok, beginners luck. I have been watching the list. For one day only, yesterday August 6, MFT's were on the recon list at 20% off. Hope to receive the package this week. So far, I have bought TS 55 and MIDI on my first recon sale and now the MFT. Question, how often do Festool have these sales?

Thanks for all the help.

Hey Michael!  Welcome to the FOG!  You say it is beginner's luck, but to use the MFT/3 you need other stuff.  What do you have and what do you do?

Hi Michael,

    Welcome to the FOG!  [smile]

There is no set time frame for the sales.  The last one was last fall, and before that spring 2011 (I think).

Got my recon tools today!! RO 125 is in perfect shape! 20% off! It even came with a nice sample pack! The midi had a few scuffs but works perfect...and again 20% off. I used both today and they worked perfect. Thanks Festool and Bob Marino!

With the end of the sale approaching, I am having a hard time talking myself out of a OF 2000 router for $193.  Hard to see a downside even if it only gets occasional use.  Anyone else thinking of getting the OF 2000?

I bought three of them (and sold my OF 1400) and couldn't be happier.  Very high quality machine.  And I believe parts will be available for at least several more years per Festool policy.

Seriously?  MFT's?  I'm seriously bummed now. I've gotten several great deals but would have bought a couple if not several MFT's. Congrats. Now if a CMS would only show up, my "Summer of Green" would be complete.

The Domino XL came in yesterday (was at the -10% level).  It looks brand new, except the foam insert attached to the underside of the systainer lid was a little deformed.  Not sure if that was the reason this Domino was discounted, or if the damage to the foam happened during shipping.  Either way I am happy with the purchase.

Glad to read all of the positive feedback from customers who have purchased through this program. Just a reminder for everyone, it will be ending at the end of this month. So, snag a good deal while you can!

Another happy post - just got my recon TS75 through Bob Marino - good stuff!! :)

Maybe Shane can sneak in some CMS router tables this week and I will be in heaven!! ::)

It's not that I ran out of money, just ran out of credit cards. All tools listed below except for the sander, were bought on this sale. What a great way for an introduction into Festool.
Currently building a prototype for a craftsman style library table. The assortment systainer arrives this week. As much as I like cutting mortise and tenon joints, looking forward to working the loose tenons into my project.

Thanks again for all the support. What fun!

Beware... If your recon tool shows up broke festool may blame it on you and you will do without

To clarify...

Derek ordered a reconditioned MFT/3. When it was delivered, he had someone else at his home to receive it. The box was damaged and the damage was not noted with the delivery guy. Several components were missing and/or damaged. So, there was no way for us to place a claim to recoup the cost of the damage.

However, to try to keep the customer happy, we sent replacement parts for everything that was missing and/or damaged, free of charge. When the replacement MFT top was delivered, it was also handled roughly in shipping from the photos that I saw. Derek was not happy with the condition, even though this is a reconditioned tool and as such we do not guarantee condition, only that it's fully usable/operational and complete. In the end, he was offered a full refund and we will be sending a new box and call tag to pick up everything.

As a result, we will no longer offer MFTs in the reconditioned tool program in the future since we want our customers to have a positive experience.

Derek, again, my public apologies for the inconvenience and that you were not happy with the condition of your MFT/3.

Shane
