Festool Reconditioned Tool Sale

Kodi,

Correct, it is the requirement and responsibility for Festool to collect sales tax for products shipped to states where we have a company employee or representative living. In legal terms, it's called a nexus.

Regarding dealers, that's between the customer, the dealer, and the government. I don't want to get into a conversation about sales tax, but customers are supposed to report on their federal income tax any purchases that were made where they did not pay applicable sales tax, such as online purchases. I'm not sure how honest people are about that, but I suspect most conveniently ignore that requirement. It only hurts your local economy and government not to pay sales tax. I suspect sooner or later legislation will be passed where it's required that all online sales are required to collect applicable state sales tax and the dealer remit that to the appropriate state(s).

That's all that I'll say about it and let's not turn this into a political conversation, which is against our forum rules.

I don't think Eric has posted this yet, so I thought I'd share. He did this on his own, but told me about it. He paid for these tools himself and received exactly what any customer would have. His tools are very representative of what you can expect when you get a reconditioned tool from us. Thanks, Erock!

Great video, and ABSOLUTELY TRUE! I bought a bunch of tools during the last recon sale, and two more this time. They arrived today and are exactly the way Eric shows. So if you are on the fence on a recon Festool - I say GO FOR IT!!  ;D

My mistake might just be your good fortune. Due to a programming error on my part, some reconditioned tools were erroneously showing out of stock. So, check the list and maybe something you were looking for is now showing available.

Whoops.  [embarassed]

I just looked at the list about an hr ago and noticed new items, refreshed and they were gone! Looked again just now and they're back! [big grin]

Doesn't look that way, my friend. But, I can double check that tomorrow with the warehouse.

Can I be second in line..?!!

No CMS GE sets I am guessing..??!

OK  ;D , and thanks Shane for the effort. I did get some tools this time through Bob Marino. Now I see a few more things on the updated list I want...

Pretty sure there were some CMS units, but they are long gone. I don't think there were many to begin with.

No CMS or MFT units, I have confirmed. Sorry.

Although I know there were some people who had been looking for the VS 600. There were several just added to the list. They may go quickly.

Couple of questions. Was MFT part of this year sale? I am wondering if I missed it somehow.

Also hypothetically speaking :) if MFT was available, is the top changed or could it be used as well?

Thanks!

Doh! I would have much rather preferred to pick up a Ti15. But I spent me funds on a T18. Such is life....
