Well the Festool road show came to our local dealer this week and once I had experienced the show truck that was me into a Festool Frenzy. I purchased a Kapex and a RO150. I got an amazing deal on them plus there was some accessories thrown in for free.
I was on the verge of purchasing a cordless drill but I managed to hold back until I find the best one to go for. Has anyone got any strong opinions on the 18 or the 15, should I go for the impact or the normal drill, I also love the feel of the CXS, we do all types of work from decking to kitchen fitting, at the moment I've got dewalt 18v impact and drill but they just don't seem to match the rest of my kit anymore I can slowly feel Festool taking over the whole arsenal, what is your best drill combo ?

PS - This was in the UK for anyone reading. Not the US Road School, different thing.  [wink]

I was reading about these amazing/special deals. Do these ever happen in NA, or what about vouchers?

The deals?  Never heard of one.

Vouchers?  I have read about there being vouchers of some sort but have never seen one in person.  Never have read about Festool confirming that they exist either.  That doesn't mean that they don't exist though.

If I could just find one of these amazing deals or vouchers, I might just start buying some of these Festools that everyone on the FOG is always talking about  [laughing]  ;)

I have the dewalt 18v impact and drill combo and I also have the CXS and T18+3. I really do not have a need for an impact, but for decking you wouldn't want to be without one (I wouldn't.) I will probably sell the yellow ones. You could start off with the CXS and the it would only be a matter of time before you bought the T18 or T15.

Sorry about my post I was talking about the road show and then I went on to ask a question, but here it is the road show comes to your local dealer in the uk in there big expanding show truck to show of all there shiny tools.
They sent out a £50 voucher maybe to everyone who has registered a tool before.
The voucher can only be used on tools
All tools 15% off
All accessories 20% off
All circular blades 40% off
I have a full list of deals here, a couple examples were-
Ts55r with rail £328 - voucher + vat =£343
Ro150 £350.40 - voucher + vat = £370
Plus thet were giving out free consumables, jigsaw blades, sanding disks etc

There were planers there but I never took any notice, I think I've used my planer once since I got a ts55 so sorry but I can't help with that one.

i would go cxs if kitchens are in your line of work they are brilliant , try for another voucher and go for the 1.5 ah battery version , i think slingers are still doing the set with extra drills in the systainer , hold up on the impact as maybe an 18v on it's way ? . just a matter of interest what price the kapex ? it's a slippery slope as they say on the FOG.

wow if that was the 120 kapex super deal that's cheaper than my first 120 over two years ago. will you go for the ug set ? or maybe mft .
