Anyone else get the Festool E-mail for a sweepstakes chance to win a Festool 18-Drill?  Did you read the fine print and see:

2. All persons must be 18 years of age or over at the time of participation and have a permanent place of business and/or residence in the Federal Republic of Germany to be eligible to participate.

I am just wondering why if I have an US address on file with them that is tied to my e-mail, why are they sending me this e-mail?

Mine says:

And the contest is being run by Festool USA.

I'm guessing either they updated the website to correct copy/paste issues, or they've got you in the wrong country in their system.

OK, there is conflicting information.

The Sweepstakes Rules page says one thing and the Terms & Conditions page
says another even though both are hosted on the FestoolUSA.com website.

Any idea what the prizes are/were for their Social Media contest?

I gotta be honest, I need a second T-18 Easy like I need another hole in the head (I bought it to get more batteries on the cheap).  Luckily, the T-18 Easy can make that happen pretty quickly, but still.  I suppose I could sell off my Recon T-18 Easy and keep the one with the 3-year warranty if I were to win?

Lol, they goofed on the link address. Those are spaces there in the last section, so even if the text is correct (probably not), the spaces certainly aren't.

I just pulled up the Festool Sweepstakes rules again, and they still have it limited to businesses and citizens of Germany.

I received an email yesterday evening saying they were working on fixing the webpage. Not to worry.

Maybe clear your browser cache and see what is displayed. There is a setting in most web browsers to clear the cache and also to have sites verified each time you visit. If you don't have that enabled then the browser speeds up loading the page by using cached data on your PC.
