Festool sysport question

I just picked up this sysport and was wondering what the go was with the drawer pulls? Is this an older model? Or has the previous owner added them?

I pick it up in the next few days and plan to give it a good clean and perhaps refinish it. Anyone got any tips on how to refinish? For $80 I thought it was a good deal!

Look like all metal. Found this, looks similar to what you have.

If the drawers works well no doubt you got a super deal.

Apparently the drawers and lock work well. I pick it up tomorrow so will be interesting to see how it looks in person.

Just curious about the black drawer fronts. I’ve never seen them before?

Looks to be an older version. Mine Sysport has the green buttons on each drawer.  But clean it up, potentially remove the black plastic and get a couple of cans of spray paint and they'll look great.

I picked up the sysport last week and gave it a bit of a clean up. Just a quick vac and wipe down and it came up way better than I thought it would and probably won’t bother giving it a new coat of paint. I also removed the front black holders or whatever they were.

I’ve wanted to build a few of my own sysports, but more so now after using this one. Makes my work flow much better rather than having my systainers in a stack. I’m up to 20 now so I need to get organised!

I also picked up this boom arm as is, so will probably make something up so I can use it. Not bad for $20!

The sysport looks great.  I would not paint it either.

Yeah I won’t be, I’ll just leave it as is. When I saw the pics of the ad I thought it was in much worse condition than it actually was.

Now I need to draw up plans to build my own sysports....
