Festool 'T' and 'C' Drills - What are the differences?

To me the CXS is the right size for a C-type drill.  The C12 seems less comfortable and less balanced when compared hand in hand to the T15.  When using a C12 I can never really figure out how I want to hold it.  Picking up the CXS in the store feels so intuitive and "right" that I think it's the way to for a C drill.

When I ordered the cxs from Tom Bellemare, I went ahead and bought a Sys 2 just so I could switch over the cxs gear and have room for the extras I want to have in there.  The sys 1 got used somewhere else, but still I think Festool should consider this  and upsize the systainers.

I did something similar. I got a 4 drawer sortainer from Tom and thought at first of trimming down the insert and putting it all in the large drawer. Then I decided that there was really a bunch of wasted space that way, at least to how I'd organize things.

So I ditched the insert, and have room for some bench cookies and spade bits in the big drawer, too (along with some yet to be used space). I wished the extra battery would nestle in somewhere else, but haven't been able to convince it to do so yet.

The drawers above hold all the driver bits, drill bits, extensions, etc. So I wound up with a nicely organized box that's got everything I'd want to carry. And the original Sys1 was transformed into a screw box.

Had the C12 and now have the T12, T15, CXS. The C12 handle grip was just too big around for my hands to ever feel like I had a good grip. Just felt too large so it felt awkward to use. I much prefer the CXS and T style. The C drill style has advantages but for my sized hands it just was uncomfortable to use. Maybe the new C drills will have a more compact handle? I highly recommend that people try them both out if possible before purchase.
