Of course, if were are talking plunge saws, wasn't Holz-Her first out there in the market with the Mosquito? And that was way back in the 1970s
On the guide rail theme, Hilti guide rails are exactly the same form as Festool ones, even though the two original Hilti rail saws (WSC-255 and WSC-265) were completely different tools to the Festools of the day (AT-55, etc). Only found that out when somebody wrecked my rails and I bought Festool rails because they were cheaper!
