Festool TS 55 REQ Tracksaw Dust Bag Conversion Kit

Hello,

I have a Festool TS55 REQ track saw.  I brought the following converter kit for the dust bag

Has anyone installed this item with the corded track saw?

It seems as though the connector is not compatible with the bag because it does not lock with the connector.  It does not even come with instructions.  Can anyone let me know if they have purchased the kit and installed it?

I installed the angled adaptor on my TS 55 R without any problems.
It's nice to use the TS saw with the dust bag instead of the vac hose.

[member=2526]Meezo[/member], if you're having trouble getting it installed, please give us a call on Monday and we'll talk you through the process.

Basically, you remove the 5 (give or take) Torx screws that hold the blade housing cover on the saw. When you remove the cover, you'll see that the dust port just sits in a recess. Remove the stock port and replace it with the port we sent you. You may need to turn it to get it to seat properly. Then, replace the blade cover and screws.

You can then use the dust port or attach the included dust bag.

I installed on mine what's the problem? You just take screws out and rotate adapter till housing goes together flush it took 10 minutes to install.

How is the dust collection now ? The wood chips are more "sent" to the bag rather than "sucked" outside the blade into the bag ?
Sounds like a tempting option but I'd be interested to know if it's really efficient

I'll get the bag for the HKC 55..It's not available as a separate item as far as I can see in the EU. I might consider getting a basic version of the TSC 55 but the reviews haven't been that great with it but perhaps the new 5.2Ah batteries will improve the performance...

Does the 10015824 adapter allow the use of the 36mm hose as well as the 27mm hose?  I just upgraded hose size and I am loving the 36mm hose.
