Festool Vac Power Port

I was wondering if I can connect a non-festool powertool (a Grizzly benchtop belt/disc sander) to the power port on the festool vac so that dust collection can be auto triggered to the machine?

Hold on! I would be very, very careful about doing this. The inrush current on an induction motor could easily exceed the capacity of the controller inside the vac. I am not directly saying you can't do it, but there is a very strong possibility you could fry the controller inside the vac.

You can safetly run their spindle sander, which does not have an induction motor ( I have the similar Shop Fox version)
Grizzly's entire line of combo bench-top sanders use an induction motor.  I didn't know this until I looked up each sander and spoke with George at tech support for Grizzly.

What if I use one of these switches and plug the tool into it - and the festool vac?
