Hi,
Some time ago there was a promotional voucher for dust extractors and as I had already bought one, I had no use for the voucher.

I watched loads of them being sold on eBay and refused to sell mine because I didn't think it fair that I had had it for free. Anyway it expired and shortly afterwards I realised that I could just have asked on here if anyone wanted it.

Well! Now there's another voucher offer with 10%, 12.5% and 15% discounts working on a sliding scale depending on how much is spent in a single transaction. I have enough tools to be getting on with and although there are a few on the wish list, I walked out on my job yesterday so I need to be very careful spending money at least until I find another job!

While buying a second hand Festool worktop jig on eBay just now (a purchase I had already committed to before become unemployed!!), I saw a couple of these new vouchers cropping up for about £20.

I don't want anything for mine. I just want to help someone who may be looking for an ideal moment to make that 1st big purchase into a brand that I personally have had a lot of pleasure in investing in. I'll post it anywhere in the UK for free but all I ask (and I'm going to put my faith in humanity here) is that it is used to buy tools. I don't want to think of it turning up on eBay for a few quid as that's not really the spirit of paying-it-forward.

If more than one person replies, I will just wait until say...Sunday...and whoever has expressed an interest, I shall put names in a hat and have my 2 year old son pick one. In the event that there are others with a voucher who wish to do the same thing and give it away, I'm prepared to collaborate so we don't end up doubling up on "winners".

If no one is interested, then never mind! Thought it better to offer than have it sitting in a drawer, expiring!

I'd love to take advantage of your kind offer re the voucher.
I also received one through the post and will be using it on a Vac sys I've had my eye on for a while.
I'd also like to make more use of my cms set up so intend to purchase the TS 75 and insert.
The vac sys gets up to £800 but both tools together are shy of the £1500 so the other voucher would be helpful.
Sorry to hear about the job and good luck finding a better one.
Let me know if I'm successful and I'll pm my address.
It will not be going on eBay!!
Thanks and best regards.
Scott.

And the job I walked out on was a pile of w**k anyway - I'm going self employed instead! Got plenty lined up already [emoji846]

Good for you, I've had my own set up for years and never regretted it...ever.
A young family keeps you focused on the real important stuff and maybe one day it's big enough to give them a career or legacy!
Good luck.

I'm obviously late to the party but I would like to go into the hat for the voucher to go towards a Kapex if poss.

[member=35979]geoffshep[/member] - done. Oo...the "K" word! Don't let anyone hear you  [smile] Only joking. I've had a Kapex for a little over a year now and it's just a knockout piece of kit as far as I'm concerned and hasn't given me any worries.
If you plan on using it for site and you haven't already come to this conclusion, I'd really try and push yourself to get the UG stand and wings too.
Good luck!

Just a point of clarity as Festool didn't do a great job with their wording.

You actually get £50 discount off purchases of £500 or over, £100 off purchases of £800 and over, and £225 discount off purchases of £1500 or more. The percentage examples Festool gives relate to those thresholds, not to an actual percentage discount you would receive; hence why some people will want more than one voucher.

This is true but if one were to spend a total of £1300 on tools then they would only qualify for the £800 voucher. But if they were to have two vouchers then they would also be able to use it for the £500 and £800 thresholds separately. Obviously it rarely works out that costs fall conveniently in line with these offers and you may have to spend £1479.99 but having £150 off this total is better than £100.  Wow - that all seemed more complicated to word than I thought it would!

Just re-reading that and it seems as though we are indeed on the same page. Sorry, I thought perhaps you were reasoning that having 2 vouchers would be pointless. Maybe I've complicated Festool's wording even further by getting involved! :)

@SMJoinery

My little one picked your name (after being distracted from watching Minions!)
PM me your address and I'll post the voucher tomorrow.

Sorry to geoffshep! Hugo has spoken I'm afraid.

Hi Hugo.
Thanks for picking me and sorry for interrupting the Minions.
Give your Dad a big thank you hug for me. He is a lovely guy and has done a really nice thing for me.
Thanks again and "Bananas!"

Thanks - I'm working fast to get busy. I'd hate to have to start selling the tools of my livelihood just to do boring things like feed my family :)

Thanks [member=50591]tomscf[/member]
Ordered TS75, CMS insert, VB ext fence and new SYS HUB. Saved £100 so many thanks.

Excellent! [smile] I'm so pleased it got used. The voucher was in the recycling for a couple of days before I thought to give it away! I'm a little jealous of your new  saw setup - a decent table saw is one thing I find myself lacking.
Good for you  [big grin]
Tom
