Festool WCR 1000

I can't translate, but it looks like if you convert the price in hufs to usd that is close to 450.  Whereas there are several accessories available, who knows what comes with it at that price.

Hi Peter, It's hungarian. On the original post with the link to ebay.de it is priced at around ?380. I've no idea what would be included with it, as it Festool I'm sure there will be plenty of bits and pieces to add to the basic model.

This looks awesome. I like the variable adjustability to it, although it would be perfect if it had a boom arm. Then it would be complete.

Are those new T-lock systainers still plastic? It looks metal to me. I'm not a fan of the new rounded design of them but it seems that is just something I am going to have to get over as they will be taking over soon. Maybe if I see more of it I'll change my mind. :/

Definitely want the workcenter, but only if it works with my boomarm.  Not going to toss that out for a replacement.

It looks like it will work in the small black shelf coming out of the back can be removed.  Also, seems like there's a chance it will work with the old CT22/33 vacs.

Yeah, looks like it clips onto the hose garage just like a Systainer -- so might work with any of the vacs.

I just translated the PDF Jonathan posted with Google, the workcenter does fit the older full size CT vacs (CT 11-55) but not the Mini and Midi.  Other than that bit of info there wasn't anything else of interest in the PDF.

Yeah, all those years of studying Hungarian have finally paid off.  Just kidding, Google translate allows you to upload a document to be translated.  As chance would have it I do on occasion work with a guy who speaks Hungarian.

I like the T-lock and its makes the classic systainers look old but their is nothing what can go wrong with the classics just simple catches! Dont get me wrong ill properly buy one but that will be it just because I can say I do own a T-lock.

To me the fact you can only have them stacked on top of the classics and not vice versa puts me off big time.

So, I would guess that Sortainers will also be updated with this new design.  That T-Loc may provide a better connection but would also eat up more valuable real estate.  I guess time will tell ...

Intriguing. Brings to mind the Hazet Assistent.
Approximately $1600-1900 apiece ? Jeez, I didn't think the day would ever come when Festool would look inexpensive.  Does Megan Fox hand assemble it ?

The webpage states:  "The box will come to you unassembled."  Sorry for you Megan Fox fans.

Guess they believe in that, "charge as much as humanly possible" theory.  Wonder how well that's working?

And my girlfriend thinks i'm nuts for buying a Snap-On tool box! I should show her that! [eek]

I bet that is their sweet spot for their volume vs. maximum profit.

Why work like a dog 50 hours a week when you could pick and choose and work 30 hours and make more then working 50?

Some of you seem to have an issue with the word 'profit'.

The issue you bring up has a simple anagram solution for this particular product:  Exchange t -> f and then rearrange.... "profit"  -> "ripoff"     [tongue]

$1800 for a plastic tub on wheels!? I will grant the idea with the telescoping and folding poles is fairly clever, but.... c'monnnn

I'm not disagreeing with ya Warner, you're probably right about their pricing sweet spot.  Sell two all year and they're set.
A Red Flyer wagon with 4 Sortainer IVs would be about the same, for 1/3 the price.    [wink]

They are not worried about selling them to everyone, just the people that want and or need one.

Not everyone wants or can afford my services.

That is why there is McDonalds and Eddie Merlot's.

I thought that ad was a joke. I'll spend money on tools but not on that thing. The tub is very cool, the price too high. I could buy CT wagon/guts and make a work station for far less. Something I'm still considering doing. I think the addition of the WCR 1000 may be a step in Festool realizing that many of us use the CT as a mobile workstation.
