FESTOOL

Festool will honour the warranty.

They track the warranties by the serial number, so they will simply check that on the system and use that to verify the warranty situation.

Oh and by the way, welcome to the FOG!

Well IM sure where you bought it from would have a record off you buying the tool from them.

Dealers I used register the tools for me and so a receipt is not needed as they know I bought it from them and have records

Well if fein Honour not warranty registerd I'm sure festool will honour no reciept but registered.

As I took it for granted my dealer registered all products and at the time he didn't so my fein was not registered but he does do all tools now. The fein rep said it was fine and picked the tool up great company and so is festool!

Call support and ask, just to be sure.

I just recently had to send my CT22 in for service (went smoothly, and am I ever glad to have it back...), and when I had called, they looked up the serial number and didn't have a record of it.  I did eventually find the receipt and validated that it was less than a year old, so I called back and they set up the shipping label and such; I just included a photocopy of the receipt when shipping it to them.

Long story short, they *should* have the serial number on file, but it might be best to verify that, just in case...

Forgot to mention it!  I received a Festool Card the other day.  A Service card to keep in my wallet like a credit card.  It has my ID on it and festool service number on the back. It says you it if you need any help or have any problems!

Hi Jmb you only get the card if you're spending £2000 a month on festools.. [blink]

Is it just me, or does this sound like somebody who stole a Festool, first ever post and all.  You'd think they would just contact Festool directly rather than fishing for answers here.  Call me paranoid!

All the Festools I got came with their warranty cards in their systainers, which I've never filled out, and are still there, so I thought it may be the case here as well.

I just contacted Festool service this past week about my never used 3000 rail having the splinter guard coming off on its own, for which they sent me a new one free- thank you Festool service although I wish it was the old black ones instead- and had mentioned whether I needed to register my tools with them, or whether my retailer had done so for me.  They advised that I didn't need to do so, and just simply needed my original purchase receipt, so I thought it was a POSSIBLE fair assessment of what the OP may be up to.

Btw, what is a "deffo".  Is that short for "the fellow"  ???  [smile]

yeah then you would have some money left because you spend £3000 a month atm

£2000 no chance  [laughing] [laughing]  I have not spent that on tools in the last 5 years. I think it is just something to do with the new warranty.
