FestoolUS website question

Hi,

I know we have talked about this before..... but I would like to state that it is very frustrating that when someone is putting up a link to the Festoolus site,  in Canada we are then being redirected to "our" front page were we have to click on the canadian version to get access. Of course, we then have to navigate through "our" site to find the item the other forum member was mentioning.
For some reason members from countries other than Canada can access the US site.

Maybe there is a way to fix that?

I've got the same problem and I live in South Africa :/

I know I am a hypocrit as I have posted links to the USA website, although I do it because the majority of the forum members are from America and because the USA website is sooooo much nicer than ours

A solution to this would be great but I think it's the way Festool have designed it because when you use the link it redirects through Festool.com

The website is not designed to work the way you are describing.  If you are from Canada and you click on a link that is prefixed with "festoolusa.com", then it should redirect you to the exact same page and only change it to "festoolcanada.com".  I just tested it and it worked as I describe.  It may be easier to troubleshoot why you are experiencing this problem via email.  If you want to send me an example of a link you are having trouble with and your IP address (which you can obtain at http://www.whatismyipaddress.com) then I will test it out again to see if I can find the cause of the problem.

The same thing should happen for most countries other than the US, including South Africa.

My apologies if it's not working as intended for some of our website visitors.

I have a similar problem, except when it forwards me to the country selection page and I click on either Canada or USA, I then get "The page cannot be found".

For example, this link: http://www.festoolusa.com/products/dust-extractors/cleaning-sets/tradesman-installer-cleaning-set-454766.html

I find that in order to get the festoolusa links to work, I have to go to festool.com and then select either the Canada or USA site first and then the links in this forum work.
