Well I finally got around to finishing my new green microdot top and mounting kapex on my cabinets today. Decided to go the UG route for extentions. Had a little problem bolting down the kapex. Found out that when you tighten the bolts through the mounting holes it also distorts the kapex frame, had to just tighten the bolts enough to hold and no more. The green top is really cool, its not as bright as the camera shows and is an exact festool match. Trimed everything in maple.
thx

Pretty darned good pal. But its way toooo clean even for a festool shop. I like that festool sticker. I got one in mines. I think they really add a touch of class :>D

Looks great  [thumbs up].  Seeing all these shop pics are getting me depressed.  I need the housing market to go up so I can sell or get some equity to add on.

Can I ask why you've got the recess behind the KAPEX when there's not real need (old lover? hmmm?)

I think the only things missing are candles and the fact that the FESTOOL sign should have been in stained glass  [big grin]

okay, that looks top!

could you explain the system on the wall ?

The walls are just mdf slot wall, which also has a large assortment of brackets. (as you can see with the rails).  Being mdf also makes it very quiet.

The recess was from when I had my makita mounted up for dust collection. I just left it in place.

Hopefully now I'll finish the drawers. Boxes are all made just need to fit.
thx for the cool replies
Lambeater.

Maybe just a typo but I thought the wall covering material was termed slat wall. The slats describing the longitudinal appearance. The slots being where the brackets, hooks or other appendages can be installed. Just my take and your shop is really great looking.

Can you provide a material brand name and product number for that?

Cheers,
Steve
