this unit I just finished all out of oak with a pickle finish.  originally there were french doors that went out to an enclosed sun room.. removed the doors and built this unit.  I built it all including the doors .  the shelves are all adjustible using the festool roter 1400 and the hole jig.  also use domons and pocket screws.

Kreg,

Very nice work.

1) What material did you use for the back?  Is that a commercially available beadboard patterned sheet?

2)  Since there is a finished room on both sides of this unit, what provisions did you make for access to the wiring?

3)  What is behind the many doors of your entertainment unit?

i used sheets of oak beadboard that I bought at wurtz wood, a commercial plywood company that sells to cabinet makers and anybody else that has money.

wiring on this one I drilled holes into the side wall on the right inside the cabinet where a plug was on the back side of the living room wall and just ran a 8' power strip and plugged it in.

inside the cabinets on the left and right ends had one shelf. the other were not tall enough for a shelf.  they did not want any pull outs etc.... so just storage for dvd etc.
