JRB - great observation. You have spotted my most obvious flaws in this project. End panels are a stolen idea from kitchens that I fit for an interior designer that buys his kitchens in. I like it, perhaps a little fussy, where a simple shaker panel would suffice.
DW door major malfunction!!! I made after the kitchen install, I was so far behind in the project and I guess I rushed it and messed up. Didn't notice myself until install. Like wise with the extractor housing. Always explained and sketched out the plan and they were happ, hind site I could have put in more effort to incorporate storage etc. They picked all electrical items.
Lastly in my defence, as previously stated I was way behind on making and install date. My last day there the family were leaving for a 10 day holiday and didn't want the keys left. I have to go back and fit the glass splash back, so will allow a day and tinker with plinth etc. Also missed a shelf out of a cupboard. Will also confess to DW door...
Thanks very much for ALL the feedback especially the constructive. It is greatly appreciated and will only make me better.
Thanks for the answers. I did wonder if the plinth was one of those 'last minute rush' jobs as you're trying to get out of the door! Done that myself before now & had to go back to fix it.
Your last sentence is very true - it will make you better next time. I've done a couple of 'bespoke-ish' kitchens, but only ever built one completely from scratch. Despite that, I learned a lot from it (like how NOT to do certain things!) and the next one, when it comes, will be much better.
