Just wanted to say...Hi
My name is Michael and I live in Greece. I'm not a professional, just a DIYer. I've just purchased my first Festool - a RO 90 DX - maybe a bit OTT for a hobbyist DIYer, I don't know, but when I purchase something I always try to aim for high quality. I am not rich, so it's price for me is high. Nevertheless, after reading up (some of it on this forum) between the DTS 400 and the rotex I felt the RO was worth it.
I am renovating the house I live in which was built in 1965. I needed a sander to tackle indoor door frames covered with paint that probably contains lead. After removing the most part with a heat gun (at low setting and mask for protection) I wanted to remove the remaining paint spots from details and sand to an even finish.
The house has a lot of wood - shutters, railings, fencing all in need of maintenance and we have a few old items of furniture for renewing so just for that the tool is worth it I think.
wish me luck
