I was able to procure a CMS Table saw plate and tried to install a new TS 75 Imp version in it.  This IMP saw would not allow the height adapter to fit on its base plate. The casting is different at he attachment point on the base plate for the height adapter to mount.

If any member has both saws I would appreciate a look see or some pics of the mount point on the base plate for the height adapter where the adapter mounts with the one screw to the saws base plate.

Thanks

I have the plate with a metric 75 in it. I don't understand the problem you're having. Picture of the area in question would help.

Hello Tom

I think the new imperial version of the saw is different where the adapter mounts the the base plate. This mounting area on the base plate is smooth with no indents to accept the protrusions on the adapter.

I can not provide a pic of the area I returned the saw.

After viewing some pic’s on the web I may have over thought the mounting attachment to the base plate. I guess those protrusions on the adapter may just set on smooth casting with the mounting screw holding them in place.

What is the small screw just next to the hole for the adapter mounting bolt where the adapter mounts to the base plate?

It does look like I put way to much thought and engineering into this adapter attachment system. I now think the saws are the same as far as this is concerned. This adapter just rests on top of that smooth surface and is secured by the attachment screw.

I guess I need to practice what I preach "THE KISS" concept

I think over tinking it. I have the US Mteric version and have no issues mounting in the module. Just besure that you tighten the jibs the same as you would when you use the saw on a rail. Thats one adj I had to learn about the hard way

Hello:

Jibs??

I believe Ron meant gibs, not jibs.

Simply put, adjust the saw to the plate boss as if you were running it on a rail.

Tom

OK I see adjust before you tighten the 4 hold down screws when mounting saw to plate?
