FOG site any one notice...

I have noticed since the new fog website upgrade the unread and replies doesn't work as well as it use to.

I am noticing I'm missing out on a lot of new topics which don't come up in the unread any more.

I'm having to have to go through the categories to see if their is a new topic started.

Also the replies doesn't work as well either I have come across topics were I have replied and some one new has replied but it never came up in my replies.

I thought maybe I'm going crazy but then.......  In my OWN topic about the CT midi about the vacuum bag  Shane Holland had replied but it didn't come in my replies it found it in my unread.

What's going on Shane?!

I often rely on the email notification to know there is something new in a thread I'm subscribed to but later find there was a new post but no email received. It's not a consistent problem though, weird.

I use the unread, replies and email subscriptions quite a bit. I've not noticed any issues.

Is it possible you're using Tapatalk and it's causing the issue with replies and unread threads?

No tapatalk for me Shane, strictly browser. Email notice just worked fine for your post.

I don't use tapatalk and I have noticed the same thing. I'll start a subject, get a message that something has been posted, and notice that several somethings have been posted.

Oh, that's a setting. Go to:

-Profile/account settings

-modify profile/notifications

-For topics and boards I've requested notification on, notify me: 

-Instantly - but only for the first unread reply

If you change it to "instantly" you will (or should) get an email for every post.

Nope don't use Tapatalk.  Only web browser.

I just went to my setting I ticked couple boxes.  See how it goes.

I never altered anything maybe when Shane updated the site it changed my setting?!

Are you using OS8?

Whist this upgrade has brought benefits to my IPad use, there have been some FOG issues. Most have been fixed by clearing the history and cache in Safari.

The last one was amusing, as the online button was subbed for a cranky icon.

Odd the ios8 does that but nope I haven't bothered updating to the new ios. I like to wait till all the crap is worked out by all the test dummies lol
