Hi,

jonhilgen gave me this idea from his FOGtainer on display post.  How about all the FOGtainer owners start posting pics here (especially if you have not posted any yet) in this thread showing their FOGtainers.  Filled with items, tools or whatever they are being used for. Heck even just interesting shots of them such as jonhilgen posted.  Might be fun to have a gallery thread. And it might give lots of interesting ideas for the uses of Systainers.

I will get some pics of mine on here soon.

Jonny why the white part in the domino selection box?

id hazarda guess that is is because the stickers are on there and because the wooden part is cut to go around it , if the stiffener wasnt there the dominos could move from one section to the other

That's the stiffener bar out of the original festool systainer. The Tanos systainers don't have that bar, so I transferred that too, for two reasons; 1: the ply is cut-out to fit around it, an 2: it had the stickers on it for the domino sizes.

Edit: Yeah, what Alan said!

I have decided to keep use all three of my FOGtainers (a 1, a 2 and a 3)   for special assignments.  That means that they will not be permanently used for anything.  I have a good repertoire of systainer inserts both purchased and made by me and can very quickly make additional ones.   If, after using the outfitted FOGtainer for a while, I find that I want to permanently devote that FOGtainer to special role, then I will aquire another systainer for that purpose.

The thread: http://festoolownersgroup.com/various-woodworking-crafts-topics/quickly-customizing-a-fogtainer-to-hold-stained-glass-making-supplies/ describes and shows, in detail, one example of what I have done so far, in this case, holding my stained glass making tools, supplies, and a project.   Here are two of the many photos from that thread:

The best use I've found for mine so far. She doesn't look desperately impressed, but it keeps her out of my hair when I'm working...

Mac, is that a Laguna bandsaw behind that little cutie in the FOGtainer?

B

No, it's a Startrite Double B...made in the same factory in Italy as Laguna, I believe. Brand new as it happens, not even wired up yet!

Cheers,
Rick

Very nice!  Enjoy that!  I'm a bit bummed that my FOGtainer didn't come with one of those  :-[  All my wife and I can make are boys!!!  I'm done at 2 though!  I don't need to have a WWF wrestling team in my house!

More like a 'If mum finds out you've done this, you're screwed' look. Ah, they start so young.
