Aaargh, is it going to be 2 x Sys 1 and 1 x sys 2, or 3 x sys 1, or  1 x 1, 1 x 2, 1 x 3. The permutations are endless.

I'm feeling with you here. I have to factor in a serious amount of shipping cost, but i will have to get at least 2. Or maybe 2X1's and one 2. Can't be that much extra surely?
And of course, i could use a 4 as well...  [crying]

Tough one this one  [eek]

Another THANKS for all the hard work these are going to be fun. And the video was a great tease!!

I agree, the video was a great "preview trailer".  Heheh, clever to have it on the Wall-of-Festool.

I've got my list put together, I've been mulling it over for a month... What will go in them.. what will move around... what will go in the 'cast offs', etc.  Now, just waiting for the 'go' to send it to Peter.

Peter I don't know if this has been answered but let me ask it anyway.

When it comes to shipping is it something we must sort out as in we must call DHL and tell them where to pick up the FOGtainer and then have them deliver it here or do we pay you and you send the FOGtainer via some courier to our house?

Sorry I'm unsure of how this works.

Chris,

I remembered from some of you other posts that you used DHL rather than other services.  I have set up accounts with both FEDEX and UPS. I will do so also for DHL.  DHL only ships internationally. I will be arranging for shipping.  Costs for shipping, duties, import taxes, etc will be the responsibility of the recipient.

I anticipate that there will be other shipments going to South Africa.

There is a possibility that shipments may not be available to all countries due to shippers not wanting to ship there - Russia is one such country, South Africa is ok to ship to.

Peter

Peter would you also be able to ship via USPS?

I've brought many items from the States and USPS is a great service to Australia.
I ordered a new machine from Cali  and It was posted friday in the U.S and i received it on Tues!!

Shipping via USPS (United States Postal Service) is also available.  I will try to work with members if they have special needs.

Checking here in the US, FEDEX or UPS, is less expensive for these size boxes.

USPS has an excellent service to Norway as well. UPS or Fedex OTOH... Not such a great service.

So you will organise shipping, thank you so much. That makes life a lot easier. I have no preference when it comes to which courier to use, DHL was the one used to ship my Festool rail but they were not requested by me. I assume that is the company that my dealer uses. You could ship it via pigeon as long as it gets here safely :)

Thanks again Peter.

Peter:

Since you stated you don't know about customs requirements, etc., I thought you might want to look into it.

Is Tanos going to handle import & export customs or do you have operations set up in Europe, South Africa, etc? Every time I have shipped something outside the U.S., there are customs forms to fill out and the requirements can be different for different shipping locations. Even NAFTA members require documentation. I don't quite understand the "F" in NAFTA? I don't see what's free about out trade.

The forms you get, say, at the USPS, are designed for manual or typewriter entry. I made some files to help me and you are welcome to copies if it will help you. It's not a casual exercise doing it electronically and worse manually. Please don't hesitate to ask if you think I can help.

Sorry for shouting.

Today I received notification that the prototype and its minor modifications as noted in the last two days has gotten the official approval.

I will, as promised, be posting ordering information in the next day or two, but I took a moment to look back at when this started.  This was the original thread http://festoolownersgroup.com/member-projects/prototype-sysport-design/30/ and it is amazing really how it escalated.  It only took a few days for this idea to come out, and the first post regarding a possible group purchase in the blue was, if I am not mistaken:

I haven't forgotten you guys.  Last week was great attending classes at Festool and meeting and spending time with so many great members of this forum.   [thumbs up]  Then I came home.  [big grin] Then Monday came and I got the OK  [thumbs up].  Then work reality set in  [crying].  It has not been a good week and I am swamped.  I have a couple of great forum members looking over what I intend to post to make sure that it is understandable, and that I am not an idiot.

Will post soon.
