Nick,

Goldens are extremely smart.  We were experimenting the other night with him and his toys.  Each of his toys has a name.  He was able to go and get his toys by name - about 50% of the time.

He will probably not look like a typical golden.  He is partly English Golden - still allowed by the AKC and based on his parents will not be as fluffy.  Our last golden was pretty much white and had wings / feathers that trailed the ground.  Thank goodness for the Dyson vacuum [big grin].

My goal is to get him to the point that when we have a Fogger National Get Together he will sit and shake hands with members and their kids alike.  And even like Shane  [poke].  Sedge would try to kidnap him, but Minnie would win!

Thanks for the compliments. He read every word.

Peter

I'll try to get some paw pics, he stays still very well. I can do anything to him it is quite unbelievable. I can cut his nails, clean his ears, etc he does not move. l I think he likes it. And yeah he is so smart, I am stuck on Golden's now forever.

What is funny he was the last pup left and was the runt of the litter and a bit dark to be a show dog I guess, but we are so happy with him. We bought him as a family dog anyway not a show dog.  I think  the size at birth is deceiving because he grew larger than some of the largest pups in the litter. And the dog is so compact you would never guess his weight  if you saw him, its like a mass of muscle. People usually guess around 60lbs. Not sure if that is right for a show quality, but again he is our family dog and part of the family.

I truly never had a dog I loved before, he is the first.

Nick,

Just wait.  Eleven months from now he / she will be so more different.  You will have a chair at the table for him/her!  You will find out that the cnc programming language manual will be missing ...

Oh dam, he already ate a crown I  spit out, cost me 500.00! And he is a shoe stealer. We always find the shoes in his crate or in a corner under his pillow, half chewed of course!

Yesterday he stole my 8 year old daughters underwear and came flying around the corner with her running after him 1/2 naked, I never laughed so hard in my life! It's like he new it was funny!

You can tell when he is is up to something he has that mischievous look! Or the look like he knows he did something wrong.

I want a plaything for him and my wife won't have it. Just one more!

I can't wait until he gets older and even smarter, but I do not think  my wife will have him at the table, though he sat on a chair at the table when we sang happy B-day to him.

DO you thunk he will be smart enough to set up my spindle and VFD.  ;D

Copy the manuel and give it to him.  Either he will work it out or mother nature will work it out  [scared].  Compost.

Great dog!!
I have a German shepherd (is this too much German?) any way, I like the shirt idea. and if you will email me the pic of the fog label i will take it to the people that make our company shirts and get me one made! and if you like them we can send them out to any fog member who wants one
this company has about 1000 things  they can embroidery on. The calendar idea sounds good too. Whatever you think is best.

Hey Peter,

Glad to see things are finally on track, any chance that you got my email regarding which FOGtainer labeling i would prefer?

The only ones that will be available will be those from members who want to sell theirs.  You will need to check back here regularly, because if they come available, they will disappear fast.  We have international buyers now.  Shipping is steep though.

Peter

I will be watching closely. I decided I will buy one any size when and if it becomes available.  :) I am ready to pay for it ASAP.

Maybe Shane can set up a thread in the classifieds section just for the resale of FOGtainers? Then anyone that wants to buy can subscribe to that thread. and sellers will have ONE place to list FOGtainer for sale.

As an update to those waiting, just wanted to let you know that L and I spent the day in bubble wrap, boxes, packing tape, etc.  Emails have been sent to quite a few members regarding shipping.  This is for the first 78.  Yeah!

There has to be someone who has received their Fogtainers already - other than Brice.  Anyone?

First international order leaving tomorrow - Canada.  Found a way to do the customs forms on the computer - Yeah!

Funny thing Peter, I received around a hundred FOGtainers the other day... Turns out you made a mistake with the printing labels and I ended up with all of them.....I'm surprised you didn't catch that one before you shipped. [big grin]

Brice,

I might be ignorant in many aspects of the world, but...  By the way, did you check your credit card statement?  Thanks for the bonus! [big grin] [big grin]

Peter
