This arrived in the post today. I suppose everyone with an XL-700 will get one of these, just to tempt you...

They seem fine for knock down components but i dont know if i would use them on worktops,  also how much do they cost?

  clive.

They seem well engineered, for something that needs to be taken down and setup often it could be a slick solution..

I had one arrive today as well, although, my XL came with one in a packet in the box as well.

must be a UK thing?

As of right now they are NAINA. I had a chance to look at them, they are pretty heavy duty meaning got some weight to them.. Wish they made a light version for the 500 for beds etc...

I got an info pack on it last week in the post , but it didn't have the actual connector. Maybe that's because I don't own a 700

From a marketing perspective they should have sent out 4. Instead of just looking at the thing you'd be tempted to make something with it .. then you'd really be hooked. Sending out 1 as a tease isn't effective, it could almost be a negative.

I recieved the connector yesterday and I will use them in future projects , I also take back what I said in my previous post about

worktop connectors  ,with the double bolt they should be very good, the way ordinary workstop connectors are made today they

      are so flimsy .

A Finnish (startup) company is doing just that: they are currently testing the first batch of a connector for the DF500. Should go public after the summer.

I dont think so. The metal ZIP bolts are strong enough for the job.

I think the festool connectors would be alot quicker than using a router and zip bolts.

However I dont think the festool connectors have enough pulling power and pulling distance.

I would have liked if festool sent the straight connecter aswell as the angled.

Want to try both on a piece of worktop.

I hate routering for worktop bolts so if these do work well enough be nice to use a domino over a router.  It would mean for most my worktop fits I wouldnt even need a router. Just a TS55 and domino.

I also received a free connector from Festool.
Probably because I'm a registered owner of the DF 700.
Gerschwitz from Germany has a temporary offer of the assortment connector SV-SYS D14 for only €168,99! (Catalogue price is €279).
