! Warning: This project contains no wood !

We all hang our work once in a while.
Sometimes a stealth mount is tantamount.
I'm showing this project more for hanging ideas than anything else.
I try to sell customers 3-D signs whenever I can. Reasons s/b obvious.
They stand out, I'm good at it, it keeps me in my woodshop rather than the fab shop.
Very few sign shops are set up for the sign shown, and any customer with good taste at all will choose one like shown over a flat ugly sign with screws showing.
(off my pedestal)
.
What is different on my cleats is a couple extra steps to keep it on the wall.
Signs are outside. Or near hands. You have to fasten down good mainly for wind. I can't have my phone ringing.
If you are hanging on a child's wall....enough said?
.
Basically I incorporate a hidden set screw as extra provision and silicone calk.
Also an interference fit as possible. A couple of mine snap on the wall. Many ways to pull it off.

Biding a Handmade Job
photo cleat - 3) customer out-sourced that a few years ago from their "corporate catalog", it was $2500 shipped.
photo cleat - 2) I charged $2000 installed. The customer would be lucky to find any place to make it to fit their new location.
I have $200 of material and shop costs. Took me 4 days and I took my sweet time.
I wish I could make one a week but I only make 3-D signs every other month.
.
Note: Every customer is different. Every customer has a budget. Like any job on this site you get what you can, hopefully make a new friend and move on to the next job. Also look at your work around town if that make you feel good.
I was going to ask $1500. I did get him talking about the old sign and he pretty much helped me price it higher. I raised it $500 in seconds and he gave a deposit to start.
Not bragging, we all have to bid the best we can and I'm still not good at it. I can make signs though.
