Thanks for the Demo Darren.

When I use the Fuji I do not get as fine of spray as you are getting. So i use a additive to help the paint flow out. I must have the setting wrong. Need to do some more experimenting.

Try more air through the hose valve or dile down the amount of paint being dispersed on the gun.

Thanks I will try that.

The first coat over MDF and primed window casings being sprayed today.  I thickened up the viscosity, the mixture was 8 oz water to 25 oz of the same type of paint from before.  This gave me a 50 sec flow through the viscosity cup.  I did have a couple of issues when the gun though. It would slow down and I had to try to de-clog the nozzle by opening it right up and spraying it into a sheet, after that it worked better.  It was most likely because I was holding the gun too vertical for an extended period of time and it clogged the nozzle.  Enjoy the video.

How much did you have to thin the latex for this project? What did you use to thin?

Hi Darren,
Sounds like it could have also been a clogged pressure tube.  The design of the gun allows you to easily adjust the position of the gravity cup on the fly.  This not only enables you to prevent banging the cup into your work when in tight spaces, but also allows you to keep the cup in the gravity feed position at almost any spray angle, preventing the pressurized hose from clogging.  This is especially helpful when spraying vertically.  Check out 3:50+ of this video.

Hey Joe, thanks for the post! My gravity gun can doesn't rotate. how do I get one or an attachment that enables it to do so?

you may just need to loosen the cup to gun nut a fraction. I have a different gun that has this feature and when tight it is fixed, but back the nut off a fraction and it'll rotate.

Thanks for the tip, I'll try that :)
