  Has anyone noticed that newer gen3 Systainers have the top handle hold down (snap in) tab in the front center instead of on each side?  An improvement for sure. Still annoying to pop it loose, but it is much better than the side tabs. Less noisy when snapping in as well.

Yup...noticed it about 4 months ago...it means I just need to chisel out 1 tab instead of 2 tabs.  [smile]

And actually it may be a better or worse proposition depending upon one's capabilities.

I found that with the earlier Gen 3 Systainers that had 2 detents, you could be less exacting when you removed material from the detent because you had 2 of them that would compensate to some degree for any mistakes. With the newer version, you need to approach it a bit less cavalerialy and be more precise in the amount of material you remove.

Give it a while and they might bring out normal height ones too!

I for one welcome the;
Sys3 M164.5
Sys3 M217
Sys3 M322
Sys3 M427

Wouldn't mind a Sys3 M269.5 either

I had good luck removing from one side only where the handle still had a little bit of catch on the unaltered side, but would lift relatively easy with one side being removed.  As stated, you have to be much more precise if you want the newer version to still have a little bit of catch while opening easily.

    I'm going to try paring down the single style tab just a bit. So that it will catch but not resist pulling up very much at all. If that isn't workable I'll just remove it all together.

    I do find it nice to not have the handle flop back upon opening. Just an annoyance. But ease of grabbing the handle to pick up the Systainer with one out reached arm / hand is much more important.

Not with my keyboard settings ;)

But it seems the options in the GUI got disappeared in this new forum software.

@semenza have you attempted to par down the tab so it still holds the handle in place while making it easier to pick up the systainer with one hand? I was moving several systainers to and forth a client site yesterday. My Vecturo systainer has the tab. Grabbing it and navigating the tab one handed was a pain. Your suggestions seems like a great answer if it works. Otherwise, like you, I will remove the tab.

I haven't gotten around to trying it yet.
