Guess what guys?  Festool Germany has an app!  Of course I can't tell you anything about it and it is not available in the US yet, but maybe someone overseas can try it out and let us know.

I could be wrong, but I think that's a generic product management and service app skinned for Festool.

I would want it to have manuals online and list consumables by machine by task to be useful.

I speak German and tried to download it but the German apple store is not allowing me to access it.

Peter, can you translate that page into English? I think Chrome has a feature for this.

Apparently when you buy a tool you can scan the bar code on the registry form and automatically register it, you can see all your tools and when the warranty expires and also quickly send a repair form or question about each tool.

you can also contact Festool or use your GPS to find dealers in the area.

Looks like a nice gadget to have, but nothing revolutionary.

That is correct. I have tried the version for Android, and it boils down to this description. You can add dealers to your list of favourites, and automatically adds those you previously used for tool-registration.

Currently it appears to contain no such content, or they hid it.

Agree, it is a CRM app to facilitate interactions between owners and Festool plus dealers.
