That's interesting, you're saying the male tabs are not indexed 120 degrees from each other. I assumed they were, had I known that I could have saved myself some lathe work. Oh well...good eye, that observation pretty much makes this bag conversion a slam-dunk.

Got my adaptor today and it took less than 2 minutes total time to pop the six screws off the TS75 and put the new one on - there are two keys on the cover that I installed first and then one on the saw and it fit perfectly. I like the positive stops and think this is a very worthwhile upgrade. Hopefully all the new saws will just have it as standard.

I cannot 100% verify that it will work on the REQB since it could be different than the REQ we have here in the States. But, my guess is that there's no difference that would prevent it from working.

I converted my TS 55 EBQ (2009) to take the dust bag using the "Festool-ET-Winkelstueck-TSC-55-REB" part number 10015824.  It didn't fit properly.  The diameter is marginally greater, and the "clock position" female indents did not match the male tabs on the saw housing.  It is actually the tab positions that cause the non-fit, not the overall diameter.  Unlike some other people's success with rotating the attachment until it clicked into place, this was not successful on my saw.  Even though there was a "better" fit, there was no "perfect" fit. The issue was slightly different tolerances not of just where the tabs were, but how far away they are from the collar.  10 seconds widening each hole using a hand file is all that was needed.  Total job time including opening the case, discovering the problem, using the file, putting it all together, was less than 5 minutes.

Opening up the housing of the TS55 was a good idea... there was all sorts of gunk hiding in there, and I could spot material that I had cut two years earlier! OK, so now I have to include opening up the housing and cleaning it as part of a regular maintenance cycle. TBH, this gunk is probably due to me sometimes using the saw without the vac. But good to know.

[member=48572]Shane Holland[/member] : hi mate, I thought I would give you a quick update. I received a few days ago the festool parts and the bag and yeah, they look good, fit well and work awesomely well.

Sawing with the bag is now a true pleasure, you don't have the hose dragging and lifting the TS55 makes it now lighter than before.
One thing that really surprises me: while sawing, obvisouly you don't have the noise of the vacuum anymore which is a MAJOR plus  [big grin] but it really feels like there is still some suction somewhere somehow (but there isn't).
Surprisingly enough, I would say that sawing with my CTL Midi attached gets rid of 98% of the dust...but with the bag it's still VERY good.

I won't be selling my CTL Midi anytime soon though...  [wink]

To all FOG members: get yourself the bag conversion to attach to your plunge saws (can't tell if it would / will fit the TS75 but I don't see why it wouldn't) - it's a game changer !
