Getting bit out of of2200

Well i got my of2200 before christmas and already i cant get the bit out, the rachet spindle lock doesnt lock anymore. Any ideas on why its doing this, pressing it really hard does nothing.

Based on your avatar pic, if I was a bit and saw that face trying to get me to come out, i'd grab on for dear life too.    [big grin]

If you have been using in a table the chip get in through the vent some how and stop the ratchet engaging, try blowing it out with an air gun or sucking it out with a dust extractor. This worked for me.

been using in the cms only so will give it a try. bad design imho as it hasnt been used much

Bell chippy is correct Dean, the saw dust gets into the ratchet , you need to blow it out with a compressor, it only happens when used inverted.

Ask Festool about the bad design and they will deny it ever happens.

like the 2n fro drill i own that they demostrate putting huge screws in with but dont tell you it will break the drill doing so
