I have been in the Heart Hospital since Friday night, and asked if I could be released to go home?
This was what they said:

The Allergists voted to scratch it.
The Dermatologists preferred no rash moves.
The Psychiatrists thought it was madness.
The Radiologists could see right through me.
The Gastro-enterologists had a gut feeling about it.
The Neurologists thought I had a lot of nerve.
The Obstetricians stated I was labouring under a misconception.
The Ophthalmologists considered the idea short-sighted.
The Pathologists yelled, "Over my dead body."
The Paediatricians said, "Grow up!"
The Plastic Surgeon said, 'This puts a whole new face on the matter.'
The Podiatrists thought it was a step forward.
The Urologists felt my request wouldn't hold water.
The Surgeons decided to wash their hands of the whole thing.
The Anaesthesiologists thought the whole idea was a gas.

but, finally, the Cardiologists didn't have the heart to say no.

YEAH!!! I should be going home tomorrow.

I first read this, WOW, during my lunch break and could not decide if you were seriously in hospital or genuinely sharing a very funny joke. I am now having a short break from mowing and have noted you have been very active on the FOG [more than usual] in past two hours or so, if not past 48 hrs.

Therefore I  have concluded that you are actually in hospital, and what better way to pass time than be active on the FOG.

So if you are truly there, then please accept my best wishes for a speedy recovery.  [big grin]

Yep, I'm there and indeed the FOG is keeping me from going nuts with boredom.

Thanks for the wishes - they are appreciated!

I don't think I've noticed where you were from until now. I wonder if you're not stuck in the same place I just visited this afternoon. I was imprisoned there for a few days last month. We'll have to compare notes.

I am at the Minneapolis Heart Hospital (Abbott). Is that where you had your 'forced vacation'?

Thanks for the good wishes everyone. I have my fingers crossed that I get to go home today!

Isn't there something for that in the SysAid kit? ;)

Get well soon!

Good One! Yes there is - aspirin.

They gave me one in the ER when I got here.

[wink]

Not to make light of the situation (been there) but I can imagine a sysdefib offering in the near future

I hope the cardiologist didn't own a new Carvex that was itching to be used...

May you have a speedy recovery!

If they did, iI hope it comes with a new T-LOC....

"Thoracic - Lock/Open/Close" .
Saves time - It eliminate future surgeries with it's ease of access to the thoracic cavity,
Saves money - no doctor needed.
Saves waste - no blood loss, leading to less stress and quicker recovery.

Of course - with my luck - it will be NAINA!

No cutting involved this time - thankfully. If there ever is, I'll request the new CCC - Cordless Cardiac Carvex.

Semi-seriously, I do wish someone like festool could rethink the way a hospital works, so that it functions as a system.  What an incredible waste of time and resources!!  Hope you are out soon and can stay out for a long, long time!!

Thanks! the last half of your sentence is the issue for me. This is the first trip back to the hospital in over a year. I hope to go longer next time...

WOW speedy recovery for you!

Thanks, alkaline! I'm still waiting for the Docs to tell me if I get to go home today. If not, tomorrow should be a lock.

Good luck on your "vacation".  I hope the nurses there are better than the ones here.  Here the night shift nurses' knuckles drag on the ground and bring up sparks.

I have had several cute ones. It reminds of old joke that my dad told me:

An older gentleman was in the hospital and was supposed to be discharged but didn't go home. This for several days.

Finally, an administrator cornered the doctor and asked why the gentleman hadn't gone home, and what was the problem?

The doctor studied the administrator for a moment, then said:

"Because he took a turn for the nurse."
