Getting shocked from my sander, using it with the Ct 26, both are brand new, anti static hose…

Any help ?

Is the electrical outlet that you've plugged the CT 26 into grounded?

When I used the older TS 55 with a CT 22 in a detached garage, I got shocks all the time as my legs/hands came in contact with the vac hose. The outlet was the grounded style but upon opening it up, there was no ground wire attached internally.

That was one of the considerations that led me down the cordless path with the TSC 55 K.  [smile]

I assume you testing with a multimeter was just the outlet.  In the extractor dust port, there's a tiny metal tab.  Try the continuity test between that and the ground prong.  That'll be the only testable path without going to a high voltage tester.

It's called a dust bag Michael... [smile]

Depends on if you use the hose or the collection bag, really.

None of the tools themselves are grounded, in any case.  It's all the hose/dust friction interaction.

Have you tried just the sander?
And another tool plugged into the CT and hose?
The sander and CT in a different outlet?

See if you can isolate the problem?
