Thank you for the photos...  And I look forward to whatever you can post in the future. :)

No, started in September 2008 with a view of spending 10 years on the restoration;replacement and including problems I have encountered and loosing a tear due to an arm injury will complete it by the summer of 2016, already looking for my next project

Looks like that would be a bear of a job, seems like the metabo will be effective with that kind of work...

Bear of a job??? Restoring and renovating Oak (some of it dating back 500 years) is a job for the right tools and trust me when I say the metabo stripper makes light works of paint removing. I will try doing a video of what I am doing with it and post it on the FOG

Not a job for the faint of heart, we have our share of old castles in Scandinavia, and it's a long and ardous process restoring these old gems.. That is what I meant when I called it a bear of a job..

I'm not arguing about the effectivness of the Metabo, for me I'm not interested in it at this time, as I'm looking at something that not only can strip paint which the Festool R0 sanders are proven performers, I am attracted to the fact that it also excels at finish sanding, detail sanding, and even shaping duties,  The Metabo paint stripper is a tool perfect at doing One thing..

You can post your Metabo results on the "Other Tools and Accessories" subforum here on the Fog, looking forward to seeing the results of your efforts..
