Just received GHS 25 Hearing Protection/Ear buds. I don't see a serial number but would expect these to have some sort of warranty.  Could anyone advise?

I’m pretty sure the information is here (but I don’t read German):

You don’t have to buy the memory foam ear bud replacements from Festool.

“Comply” is the industry leader (and not really cheap, but probably cheaper than from Festool).  Amazon carries them.  But you will have to contact Comply directly to determine which size to order.

NOTE:  The earbud tips fail rather abruptly and become entirely dysfunctional when when they do.  It is a very good idea to have spares on hand if you rely on this equipment.

I already purchased from Hartville hardware but was just checking if they would be warranted by Festool.  The best I can tell is they are regarded as any other accessory and handled at the discretion of Festool.

What are your thoughts so far on this new product?  Haven't heard much about it other than a few announcements.  Also can anyone confirm the country of orgin?

Honestly I prefer my Apple AirPod Pros but they are comfortable and have much better in ear plugs for noise reduction. The charging case is "Appleesk" but a little bulky compared to the AirPod case. For $180 I think they are priced appropriately if Festool stands behind them in case of an issue as I suspect they will.  They are made in China.

The serial number should be available via Bluetooth and/or using the Festool app (which is finally available in North America).

As far as Airpods Pro, I love both my Gen 1 and Gen 2 APsP, but keep in mind that "noise cancellation" is not the same as "hearing protection", especially for higher-pitched tones.

I started using the GHS 25 yesterday.  I’m impressed with 2 things in particular.  The hearing protection aspect of it was so good I had to make sure no one was coming up behind me :).  I also loved that there were so many sizes of tips.  I have small ear canals, yet they had one set that worked perfectly.  Just squeezed them like normal ear plugs and they expanded perfectly in my ear once inserted.  Couldn’t tell I had them in once I started working.

yeah I dont think they should be compared to apple either, since they are hearing protection not just noise cancelling

what I was reading is that the GH 25 is a rebrand of the "isotunes free aware"https://isotunes.ca/products/isotunes-free-aware
is there any way to confirm that is true? they sure look very similar. Is festool version adding anything significant other than the color choice

I have a pair of “reference grade” audio earbuds.  They arrived with a certified chart showing the actual frequencies and the earbud frequency response.

I rarely use them.

They came with a pair of silicone deep-in-the-ear-canal earbud tips.  The earbuds are not “noise cancelling”, but are “noise isolating”.  They eliminate everything except earthquakes.

I don’t use them for two reasons.  The first is we are so used to bass-heavy headphones and speaker systems, that the truly accurate reproduction sounds a bit tinny.

Second, while the deep-in-the-ear-canal tips are not uncomfortable, I am 100% aware of them 100% of the time.

They are exceptional when I need to hear dialog accurately, and they are excellent in noisy environments.  They don’t have any option for conversation short of ripping them out of your ears.  I read lips, so this is not a real issue for me (as long as I am looking directly at you.). I changed the ear tips from silicone to memory foam.  Marginally more comfortable, but also, less durable.

In any case, almost any earbuds with memory foam tips will improve noise attenuation.

Any deep-in-the-ear-canal earbuds with silicone or memory foam tips will be highly effective for noise attenuation.

I have a pair of gun-range hearing protectors that allow for conversation.  But they are designed to attenuate that sudden report of a bullet.  I don’t know how well they work for continuous noise.

I think you are on to something (specs are identical too):

I mean, this makes sense that they're re-branded. Festool isn't in the business of consumer/personal tech gadget development, but they do have an audience that would benefit from these, so hear (eh?) they are.

I hear you brother  [laughing].  I guess I had high hopes this was a festool engineered product...oh well

As did I, but with them being cheaper than the isotunes version, and having festool's 3 year warranty (unless I'm mistaken about that), I'm just about on board with these. I listen to a lot of music though, so I'm curious about sound quality.

I was under that impression too.  Their packaging is nearly identical, and their product is very similar.

I like my festool GHS 25, I bought it just a few weeks ago, even though it has the same small issues everyone else pointed out (pretty quiet and only 5.5 out of 10 for music, and there are wind sounds outside).

Right now the left one doesn't turn on anymore, if I put them both in the case they both light briefly but the left one's light turns off and stays off, the right one's light stays on while they're in the case.  It looks like there's some problem with it but nothing special happened.

Is there some way to reset the left one or how can I restart it?  They are both charged.

I know your post is form a little while ago but did you try resetting them with the button on the back of the case?

I’ve been using mine for a couple of weeks now and I’m overall happy with them. I like not having to put in and remove ear plugs all day long, I put them in and go. I’m a lead finish carpenter and answer lots of questions during the day, the ambient sound microphones work well enough that I can hear someone talking  and pretty much everything else going on around me, they’re quick to cut off when a machine turns on. Sound quality is pretty good but I’m not using them for critical music listening, I just want to be able to hear my podcast or background music.

I have some issues with the stock tips, only the smalles ones fit without discomfort and even they start to get painful after some time

is anyone aware of alternate tip sources? do the isotunes one fit the same?

Don’t know if the ISO tips would fit but there is a good chance they would (size wise) I have the ISO ‘s and the soft rubber tips are my choice..very comfy and I can even fall asleep with them in (audio book) they are even flat enough to fit in a flip up motorcycle helmet
