Sorry, The initial post should have been here.

I was very fortunate that when I was about at my wits end, a certain gentleman from MI helped me out.

His stipulation for the help ( for lack of a better word) was to pass it on to someone else. I'm not quite out of the woods ye,t but my Wife and I feel the need to repay the generosity that this individual bestowed upon us (or rather me).

So I'm offering a "grant" for a lack of better terms to a deserving cause ('s) to the total value of $300. If it weren't for the generosity of this individual I'd probably still be in California.

This is on a first come first served basis and all applicants will be entertained. My decision however will be FINAL so no sore losers OK.

As terribly slow as business has been I'd love to receive a grant, but as I was reading your post there was a news report of a man John Zebly with 4 kids and one is severely handicapped, that needs to raise 7500.00 dollars in 2 weeks or he looses his home and worse, his children. If he gets a minimal job he looses his medical coverage for his son so he has to live this way until other means can be aquired.  This man needs 300 dollars far more than I do. The news said a donation can be made at any Bank of America. I don't know if that means in Tucson or nation wide. If you were to consider him you can get more info from KVOA television in Tucson AZ. His name is John Zebly. He really needs help. You could do a wonderful thing here. If I have a good week, I'll be making a contribution as well.

One way of looking at it, Bill, is when you do contribute you will have had a good week by definition. :)

Actually, my week just turned to crap. Lightning storm last night wiped out 2 out of 3 computers in my business including my invoicing computer. I backed up but no place to put it back. >:(

If you are lucky, Bill, it will just be the power supplies that need to be replaced.

You should be able to get the power supplies tested outside the computer, before you buy a replacement. You may even be able to try out a replacement before committing to purchase. (I tell you this from experience.)

Hope you get everything up and running soon.

Charles

One of them came back on line the other is in for repair. Good thing about being in car audio, everyone wants to barter. ;D

A little update. The before mentioned family recieved plenty of donations to cover his expenses and the person carrying the note on his house reduced the principal by 7000.00 bucks. He's also getting free financial counciling. There are still good people out there. ;D

I think it was Clint Black that had a song about this.  I often will help out strangers in the hope that maybe someday, when I need it most, I'll get it in return.
