I came home today and waiting for me was the TS 75 that had arrived only one day from calling them! I did the CC hold until they get my 55 sent back to them.
First impressions... WOW! This baby is pretty sweet! Yes it is a bit bigger but not in a bad way. After a few uses I'm sure I won't even miss the 55. Especially since I hardly used it since I purchased it a few weeks ago.
I did make a lengthwise cut with it with some 3/4 poplar and it came out very straight and smooth. You can feel the extra power it has over the 55 and and you can tell it means business. The second cut actually did a small kickback on me. That is why they supply it with the little kick back stopper with it (doh). I think I will use it in the future! it feels very good in the hand and I don't have any regrets with the exchange whatsoever!
If you are on the Track errr I mean fence about what to do with your 55 REQ.... It's really a no-brainer here. The extra cut depth, power and metal cutting abilities is just sawdust on the blade... I mean icing on the cake! The TS 75 is a VERY welcome addition to my Festool collection.
