I had to level and smooth several glued up panels and I used 60 grit Granat and my Rotex 150 in Rotex mode, followed by Random Orbit.  Wow -- the Granat lasted over twice as long as the courser grit Rubin....it did not clog or load up at all, even when sanding some glue-squeeze out.  It worked very, very well and  I am impressed...even though a box costs more than Brilliant 2 or Rubin, if I can get close to twice the sanding life per disk, then it is money well spent.  I had posted before that the higher grits do not seem to last as long, but maybe I need to give it another test and see.

Scot, it's very cool to hear testimonials like yours that prove exactly what Festool and us dealers have been saying about Granat.  Interested to see what you have to say about the higher grits.

I've just now started using my new RO90 with the Granat paper (that's all I bought to start with). -- no loading and it cuts quickly.  I don't use above 220 or so but I'm very happy with this new paper.

Granat is the only way to go for me. Not impressed with rubin brilliant, etc.

If want to try THE longest lasting paper, try 3m purple regalite....ridiculous sandpaper!
