I'm wanting to build my own "cutting / assembly table".  I would like to utilize my TS 55 and guide rails.
I'm thinking that there would be a way to get the items that hold the rails 90 degrees to a fence.  I'm wondering if I could get the rail holders from festoon (for the MFT3) and rig them to my table.  Has anyone done this or anyone who has the MFT think it could be done???

I think that it would be easier just to get some rail dogs. You would only need to drill two 20mm holes in your bench to use your guide rails. You will need to set your fence to suit your rail.

You can buy the MFT fence and rail holders as a separate package, or I imagine you could even buy them piece by piece through Festool directly, using the part numbers listed on EKAT.

The one issue though is mounting them to the table.  You would need to get extrusions with the proper profiles.  I think there are some availability issues with these extrusions when buying direct through Festool (i.e., they might only have them available in MFT lengths), but I would bet there is a corresponding profile available through 80/20:

I imagine someone on the FOG has gone the 80/20 route, so they might be able to chime in.

I built my own MFT & bought parts to accomplish what you want to do. I also devised a method of mounting the Festool Guide Rails brackets to my custom MFT

See reply # 21 for photos of the guide rail mount adapters I devised.
