Guide Rail Protractor (FS-KS) how accurate would you expect it to be?

Trying to cut mitres using this with a guide rail. The pointer on the scale appears to be about 1 degree out of alignment but even after slackening off the fixing screws am unable to correct fully as the edge of the plastic moulding catches on the metal edge beneath it. I could trim the plastic back but this seems a bit extreme for a Festool product. Has anyone else had a similar problem and if so how did they resolve it?

You can adj the pointer.  Its a normal adj.
Its part of the set up.
