Another post about how much I love the Festool MFS. I think it's probably one of the best (and under marketed) parts of the Festool system. See Brice's excellent write-ups on everything you can do with it.
Time for lacquering my latest guitar and there's no way I'm going to try and (once again) hold it with one hand while spraying with the other, or have it clamped in a way that requires me to stop and reposition it in an awkward way.
So today I quickly built a horizontal "turntable" for it using lazy susan hardware. The MFS was awesome for this, I needed a 5" diameter circle cut out of one piece, and the rectangular slot cut in the center of another.
Of course I used the MFS circle cutting parts, and then 30 mm guide insert to use the MFS as a template for the cutout.
Pictures should be self explanatory. Entire thing probably took me a hour (not counting constant interruptions from the family).
