My wife finally has seen sense and actually bought me the parralle guide set for my birthday, today I got a chance to use them, initially due to the lack of instructions I wasn't even sure which way they attached to the rail, but youtube put me straight, then I called Festool and they explained how to calibrate the guides to the saw, once I got that done, I put it to the test. Simple but brilliant I had two sheets of furniture grade plywood to slice up for stair risers, so it got a pretty good work out. It works great I'm glad I stuck with festool dispite some of the negative comments that nearly scared me off them. Bottom line, spend 10 minutes understanding how they work and calibrate them and you'll be very happy with them. Thank goodness I got the set as the first thing I needed done was narrow cuts, 7.75" ( 195cm) I'm not sure why they sell these separately, as you'll need them all. That's it.
