Has festool (festo) ever made a lathe

They made some stationary machines in their early days, but I don't recall ever seeing a lathe.

Ok.  Would love to have some of that old machinery.  How you doing Shane?  Hows life in the retail world.

Doing really good, man, thanks. Need to swing by and say hi some time on my way to NY. Hope all is well with you.

Seems like [member=3891]WarnerConstCo.[/member] is the man when it comes to finding old Festo.

Hi
Been around the museum in HQ a few times but never seen a lathe - plenty of moulders though along with a great trenching machine for strings.

Yeah, I flipped back through my personal photos from the museum and didn't see any either, Phil.

I dont believe they did.

I have a Festo chain mortiser, louver groover (2) and a couple stock feeders.

currently getting rid of mortiser and louver groovers.

....in the museum there is a fantastic early Festo radial arm saw....all cast and a beast compared to later radials.

I had shared my Festool museum photos on the forum before, I think.

Tried to buy one of RAS.

Seen moulders, haunchers and several of the small 3 spindle moulders as well.

The Roadshow is coming to my local dealer this weekend. I was chatting with in in store expert about just that question. We agreed that even if they existed a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away they would not come back because a lathe violates the principle of bringing the tool to the piece rather than the piece to the tool.  [wink]
