Heavy use surfix oil oak worktop.

Sealed underside with Danish oil as I was in a hurry and it's what I had in the van.
Originally told customer I'd put 3-4 Danish oil on the top.
Decided to use Surfix (didn't get on well with it first on softwood) first coat has gone on absolutely lovely, now liking it.
Second coat on tomorrow morning, and is TWO enough? I need out of there! But customer is flapping because I said 3-4 coats...
Told him Festool is better product, better system blah blah. Said he'd make his mind up after second coat. Like I said first coat looks and feels great.

2 coats should be fine. The heavy duty oil holds up really well.

If you must you 3 coats to please the customer, I'd wait a week to do the 3rd coat.
