Hello everyone,
I signed up here a bit ago after falling in love with the Festool "system" from a distance. I discovered FOG through another forum, Garage Journal, and some particular threads over there by Festool enthusiasts. In short, I love tools that are well thought out and precision. I have a small garage workshop (18'x20') that I share with two cars, so organization and efficiency are really important to me. I'd describe myself as an amateur woodworker with a few projects under my belt but so much more to learn. I'm 31 years old and my main goal is to build furniture for, and do carpentry on, my house.
Only recently did I pick up my first Festool purchase, the ETS 125 REQ Plus. [big grin]
I'm pretty excited about it. I have some other non-Festools in Tanos systainers, as well as a homemade MFT/paulk bench and Makita track saw. And plans to make a new diy MFT / Sysport / Tracksaw Station combo unit in the near future.
Anywho, just wanted to give a short intro, and thank everyone who has contributed here. I've already gotten a ton of useful ideas for my own shop from these forums. I've found that it's not just the Festools that are attractive to me, but the mindset of those who use them and all the inventive and efficient jigs that come with that.
Cheers!
