Hi

I've officially joined the festool club with my purchase of the domino 500.
I'm a hobbyist/DIYer.

Looking forward to learning all about getting the most from this tool from this forum.

Welcome to the FOG [member=73570]sammy.se[/member] from one hobbyist/DIYer to another! You'll find loads of great advice and tips here, but if you do have specific questions you can't find an answer to, ask away; we're a friendly bunch.  [big grin]

Welcome! From an expat now living in Seattle :)

Welcome from me too (I'm in Surrey).
I started out innocently with just a new Festool drill......
A domino is just about the only type of Festool I don't have now ::)
I find good advice here, and not just on Festool tools.

Thank you all for the warm welcome! Looking forward to learning from, and interacting with you all.

I've been to Seattle a few times lately, mainly South lake Union (near the wooden boat museum :-))

My first task has been to register my new festool domino, which I did online and am just waiting for the warranty certificate to be emailed through (I'm told it can take a couple of days...?)

Looking forward to making some test joints this weekend :-)

Greetings-- now I too am a member of FOG.  With great advice here (special thanks to Oliver for putting up with all my questions) I pulled the trigger on my "Xmas presents" (TSC55; Rotex150; PCS18/4; Midi CTM, some rails and TSO GRS16PE)-- only problem is neither my 5 adult kids nor wife yet know...hah (but I suspect I am not the first 'gifting' myself tools...hah).  Waiting for shipment and use my retirement learning from these great tools and FORUM.  Many projects planned to keep my young!

I am an Yank (Vermont) who wondered across the pond 40 years ago....just goes to show, you never know where you will end up (now in London).

Hi sammy.se and welcome.

I hate the phrase but the domino is "a real game changer", the more you use it the more uses you will find for it.

Some people find it a bit of a learning curve at first but just make sure you work off the correct sides/faces and you can't go far wrong.

Doug

Thanks Swiss and Doug, looking forward to giving the domino a try
