Is there a standard way to install these?  I'm left handed, so I automatically think the latch/knob should go on the left.  But most people are right handed...so knob on right side.  Right?

I'd say the larger part on the door, the smaller part on the frame.

Or, are you using them on a 2-door cabinet? If so, then it's down to personal preference.

I agree with Jonny.

Large part on the right, as most people are right handed the centre of the body will be facing the centre of the cabinet doors and they will use their dominant hand to open it.

What about using left hand to do simple task of turning latch and freeing dominant right hand for placing & removing items?  Or am I over thinking the situation? Now I confused myself again, rats.

I agree  [tongue]

Some reason I feel the latch/knob should be on left side.

Thing is I'm ambidextrous.

Left hand I use most for finer stuff... drawing, scissors etc. right hand is for manly stuff it's my stronger hand.

Sooo I would be holding plates etc with right hand to open door with left.
