Well this project was put on hold for a little while. But it's back on track know and time to get serious.
I bought some small sample pieces of wood to show my Mother. Out of Maple, Cherry, Oak, Birch, Hickory and Mahogany
My Mother has chosen the Mahogany, African Mahogany to be exact.
I bought pre finished Maple plywood. What's the only way to go IMO. So all the ply 5mm, 12mm and 19mm is all pre finished.
And I bought a couple sheets of African Mahogany plywood 5mm thick for the cabinet skins to put over the exposed sides of the cabinets at the
ends of the runs.
This is what 25 sheets of plywood and 210 board feet of African Mahogany looked like this morning in my truck. Man I love having a truck!

I gave my Mother a book that had a lot of styles of doors and drawer fronts. So I only have a picture to go off of. This is the door she has
chosen.

So now I have to buy the poly that I plan on using. I have until March 15 to build the cabinets. So I'm gonna poke at them on the weekends.
I'm thinking about recording the process for some more Youtube videos.....so keep on eye out for that. [wink]
Thanks for all the help with the poly questions guys!
I'll keep you updated with some before and after photos in a few month when I get the project done.
