Help removing logos

Acetone will also damage the ABS in quantity.  I learned the hard way on a limited edition mini systainer.  The handle is melted into place and I had to cut the lid loose.

Peter:

Thanks for that warning, Peter. I wasn't aware that that was a possibility.

Apparently I never used enough that I saw that effect - and I'm VERY glad! I'm gonna go edit my earlier post so I don't unintentionally cause someone to damage a systainer!

Turned up today :)

Thought of another option sticking a big Fein sticker over the triton logo.

I don't fancy using anything too powerful on it as I'm sure it will just end up a melted mess. I tried acetone quickly but it tends to smear the print.

I have used PVC / ABS pipe cleaner. It dissolves the ABS on the surface. But it will take anything off because of that. Only use for really tuff stuff though. And just wipe in one direction with a clean spot on the cloth each time to avoid smearing and swirls.

Everything that is printed on systainers is easily removed with paint thinner, the stronger stuff that contains toluene or xylene. I use it all the time to clean systainers, and it removes the green Festool logo very easily.

If you use this, be sure to apply it with a damp cloth and minimal exposure. This stuff can also dissolve the ABS plastic of the systainer itself.

Please be careful with toluene and xylene.  Please use it sparingly and outside (a well ventilated place.  They are aromatic solvents of which we should have limited long term exposure.
